Wildflowers and desert bushes bloom in bright, sage-colored bursts around the open-air landscape of the Alabama Hills in central California. Visual designer @asenseofhuber takes us on a journey through the ebbs and flows of the wavering layers of this region- from its rolling, rocky desert floor — carved by waterways and the eons of time — to its jagged slate mountains and the quiet crystalline pools burrowed into its ledges. Venturing through the vast grounds of this space, standing atop its peaks and boulders — is a humbling experience, one that provides a reminder of how small we are in the grand scheme of things. And if being a contributing part of a planet as beautiful as this one is just a piece of this life’s story, we’re blessed to be a part of that. Pigeons flock the skies above a rain-washed square in Bucharest, as patrons emerge — filling the air with chatter — after the showers to wander the enchanting quarters and walkways of this southeastern European country. (📷: @cristihancu 📍: Romania) at Romania

A sea of frosted, frozen rivers and delicate waterfalls run through the backside of moody landscapes, like ivory veins flowing through seas of deep cobalt and frosted onyx. Lush green pastures, fading into the yellows and browns of mid-season metamorphoses, lead travelers to snow-capped peaks that part for the open road — for the explorers, the adventurers — in waves of towering rock. With so much natural diversity and dynamically, varying terrain, it's hard to believe that New Zealand is only 1/37th the size of the United States — nearly the size of California. Dawn radiates over this quaint Norwegian city, in clouds that ripple softly in painted hues of faint violet, faded neon pink, and dusty navy over the colored blocks of the Lego-like houses lining the pier. The city of Trondheim, in central Norway, is one that is best explored and experienced on foot or by bike. Travel tip: After a day wandering the town's cobbled streets, Gothic cathedrals, and nearby woods, head to Kafé Skuret for a well-deserved break. This cozy pub is located right on the water is a great spot to grab some of the local seafood, a beer, and watch the sunset burn out over the liquid horizon. "After spending two weeks exploring Mongolia, I learned that it's such a beautiful and interesting place, with some of the most welcoming people I've ever met." Filmmaker @nics_mindset shares with us the striking visuals from his time in this Eastern Asian country — whose beautifully dynamic landscape is just the starting point to discovering the richness of the country, its people, and its culture. American naturalist, philosopher, and author John Muir, (also known as the "Father of the National Parks"), once wrote: "To sit in solitude, to think in solitude with only the music of the stream and the cedar to break the flow of silence, there lies the value of wilderness." Against the backdrop of the chiseled crests of Geisler Peaks, blushing in the warm, end-of-day hues, sits a quaint cabin that's the perfect spot to soak in the merits of Italy's northeastern wilderness. Where do you go to find that valuable silence? (📷: @osemann 📍: Geisler Alm) at Geisler Alm

While in Jamaica, ask a local for directions to this beautiful location. Forty-five minutes from Ocho Rios, the Old Spanish Bridge is located on the upper White River. Built in the 17th century, the bridge today provides the perfect location to unwind and cool off. We recommend taking a jump off of the wonderfully engineered rope swing. Be sure to test out multiple techniques to get the perfect drop. Would you jump off this bridge in Jamaica? at Jamaica

It's said there is a certain magic that lives in the folds of Bali — tucked in its broken windy streets, running through its densely, lush jungle-scape, through its valleys, and across the peaks of its sleeping volcanos. It's a healing magic, one that calms and soothes, and grounds its willing visitors. Sometimes the best ways to feel it is to escape into the belly of the greenery and nature and just listen. Have you been? Have you felt it? (🎥: @michaelmatti📍:Bali, Indonesia ) at Bali, Indonesia

The haze of the morning sun slowly dissipates — settling over the firey coral foliage of the trees lining the milky lapis and turquoise waters of the Katsura River below. Kyoto is one of Japan's most picturesque destinations, one that instantly enchants and intrigues visitors with its ornamental temples and blooming natural beauty. Arashiyama, pictured here, has been designated by the country as a historic landmark region, as well as an official "Place of Scenic Beauty" — and it's not hard to see why. Travel tip: Hop on one of the "pleasure boats," (tour boats that cruise along the river), for an alternate view of the area. Keep an eye out for other boats passing by, some of them offer drinks, snacks, and even savory street food like freshly grilled squid. “This— an old place… a place where you and your horse would come from far to rest,” explained the guide in broken English, his tone as warm and light as the day, as he led traveler @captainpotter on horseback up the dusty, narrow trails that snaked and wound around the carved peaks of Cappadocia in Turkey. There’s something about visiting places like these — those that housed the stops along the journeys of people searching for more, searching for something new on the horizon — that make you want to be a part of that journey. Where have you been that has resonated with you like that? (🎥: @captainpotter and @nainoalanger📍: #Cappadocia ) at Cappadocia Turkey

Author Mark Jenkins, once wrote: “Adventure is a path. Real adventure, self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it." In a remote province of northern Indonesia, avid traveler @josiahwg found himself face-to-face with this encounter of a charming kind. Where is somewhere you've been that was wonderfully different than you'd imagined? (📷: @josiahwg 📍: North Sumatra) at North Sumatra

Misty clouds flow past the snow-dusted peaks of Banff, Canada, rippling over the mountain town below in thin, billowing waves as the city lights up to greet the night — the clear sky starting to darken, as the first jeweled, glimmers of the stars emerge high above.
